Quote Currency
The second asset in a trading pair, used to quote the price of the base asset and measure trade value.
The quote currency is the second asset in a trading pair and tells you what unit the price is expressed in. In BCH/USD, BCH is the base currency and USD is the quote currency, so the displayed price means "how many dollars per BCH."
Quote currency affects charts, profit and loss, order books, and fee calculations. Stablecoin pairs such as BCH/USDT may look similar to fiat pairs, but settlement, redemption, and exchange risk differ from trading directly against USD.
